Hi, my name is Jeri. I live in Acworth, Georgia. I'm a student at Kennesaw University with a twenty year old son. I'm very busy going to school. I don't have much time for myself. But when I can, I like to garden, crochet, play with my pets, and try out new recipes. Here is a recipe for Mexican Chocolate Cake and my son's favorite snack below:

Georgia is a subtropical climate, but we have pretty good success with tropical plants. Banana trees, canna flowers, taro root, and malangas grow big and beautiful in my yard in the summer. They have to be dug up in the winter and stored. It's alot of work, but I enjoy each year trying out new tropicals.

I learned to crochet 20 years ago when my son was in the hospital for an extended stay. I spend my spare time in the evening making doilies for my friends and family. I use the cotton threads.

I said before that I have one son, but actually I have many more babies. Let's just say I'm an animal lover. We have 7 birds and 1 Siamese cat. Siamese cats are my favorite breed. Himalayans are my very favorite. But I've never had one. I raise cockatiels. At the top of the page is a picture of my sweet gray cockatiel, Rod.
